Layla Taj is an Egyptian cultural dancer and performing artist devoted to preserving the authentic traditions of Egypt. She lived and performed professionally in Egypt for over five years, grounding her work in direct cultural experience. Her performances have been presented at the Jacob Javits Center, where she was selected by the Egyptian Tourist Authority to perform for the Ambassador of Egypt and his wife, and she was personally invited to welcome the opening of the King Tutankhamun exhibition in New York alongside world famous archeologist Zahi Hawass.

 

Following her return from Egypt, Layla developed her signature Egyptian cultural program—an immersive presentation combining visual narrative and live performance. The program has been invited back repeatedly by institutions and has received standing ovations. Her work has been presented internationally across the United States, Dubai, Germany, France, and Tunisia. She is also the founder of the Egyptian Cultural Performance Society (ECPAS), dedicated to preserving and advancing the integrity of Egyptian cultural arts.
